LIA Still Offers Drug and Alcohol Counseling
LIA executive director John Smid says they'll tweak their services -- and the wording on their Web site -- in an effort to remain unregulated by the state.
"It's a very minor aspect of what we do," Smid said. "It's really not our focus."
The website for Refuge, Love in Action's "outpatient program for young men and women ages 13-18" still contains the following text:
Refuge is designed to minister to adolescents struggling with broken and addictive behaviors such as…
-Pornography
-Drugs and alcohol
-Sexual Promescuity
-Homosexuality
